Country music the way I like it
The lead singer has a great voice (reminds me of someone but I can't think who!), their harmonies are wonderful, and they play Country music the way I like to hear it - no egos out front, no twanging geetars and never in an overly sentimental way. My favourite track right now is 'Carved In Stone' which speaks with affection of an old man who's name is carved on a gravestone. If that sounds like sentimental twaddle, it's not. It's very warm and tender.
This is the first album I've bought by Subdudes, but it definitely won't be the last. Recommended.
