Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Bryan Adams is a Bruce Springsteen for blue collar workers. Perennially in love with rock & roll, on this mid-90s album he struts his stuff with an unselfconscious, schoolboy swagger. "I'll be 18 'til I die", the Canadian boasts on the title track--and this determination is soon made apparent on unsubtle tracks like "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You", the appallingly-titled "Your Underwear (I Wanna Be)" and "Black Pearl" (a paean to black women, crooned about in lazy stereotypes). The 12-bar boogie rules on this album--that is, when Adams isn't falling back on his Unique Selling Point, The Ballad, as on the epic "I Think About You". Still, many hipsters enjoy Adams more than they'd care to admit, and 18 Til I Die is such snotty, unashamed Cochran-loving rock, it's hard not to feel affection for it. --Everett True

CD Description
On 18 TIL I DIE, Bryan Adams abandons the MOR ballad formatthat made him a household name, in favour of a raw, unfettered approach. With the aid of producer Mutt Lange (who adds some guitar as well), Adams has assembled a raucous group ofsongs high on energy and low on gloss. The majority of the tracks on 18 TIL I DIE are powered by heavily-distorted guitar and insistent drums.
In addition to his new predilection for raw-bones rockers, Adams seems to have developed an irreverent sense of humour; note the lascivious, offbeat lyrics of "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" and "(I Wanna Be) Your Underwear". In fact, his new-found lewdness might make this the first Bryan Adams album ever to be disapproved of by parents. Most likely, though, mom and dad will be pacified by "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman", the soft, romantic megahit from the movie "Don Juan De Marco" that is the exception to Adams' new rocking rule.

Customer Reviews

His best piece of work5
This album is quite possibly Bryan Adams best piece of work, with great upbeat tunes of "Black Pearl" and rock along with "18 til' I Die" or the more soothing tune of a great poetic song "Star" and love songs for when your alone with your loved one such as "Let's make a night to remember" to get you going make this a rememberable album. I've had this album for 5 yys now, and still never tire listening the well sung and played songs that make up the album "18 til' I Die". A must have for Bryan Adam fans or anyone that is interested in rock-blues, soft rock or just plain ol' Rock N' Roll.

Another Classic!!5
Another brilliant album by Bryan Adams. This is another must have on your Cd rack. It contains some of the best songs he has written. My favourites are the songs 'the only thing which looks good on me is you','18 'til i die' and 'We're gonna win'. This album just like all the rest of his, has brilliant guitar playing and singing. It is defaintly one of the best albums he has written. I would advise you to buy this great album. Your collection is not complete with out it! Get it!
