Frankie returns to form!
Francis Dunnery's third album shows him going back yo his roots with a more folky acoustic feel than the previous album 'Fearless.' Dunnery plays all the instruments himself which is a little self-indulgent and also a little stupid as his drumming is not up to much. His guitar playing on the other hand is as good as usual, and nicely understated for such a talent. 'I Believe I can change my world' is lyrically dire but somehow works, and the acoustic 'Sunshine' is the best track since It Bites split. Bizarrely, Frank manages to succeed where Boyzone failed in doing a good version of 'Father and Son.'
