Their first Greastest Hits, an ideal introduction to the band

Decade was Duran Duran's first greatest hits compilation, released in November 1989, appropriately enough at the turn of the decade. With it's snazzy cover, it was designed to appeal to a new generation and presents a wide spectrum of the band's 80s material from their first 5 studio albums.
There are a few ommisions but largely, all the key songs are here from early classics like the infectious, stylish Girls On Film and Rio to the glossy Union of the Snake and what is a personal favourite of mine, the bizzare but totally addictive Reflex. Moving on, the band became more adventurous with their sound, exploring into funk with Notorious and Skin Trade (the latter a criminally underated single - the chorus is divine) and house/dance music with 'I Don't Want Your Love' and 'All She Wants Is'.
Handily, the album also includes non-album singles, 'Is There Something I Should Know?' and famous Bond theme song 'A View To A Kill' which rank amongst some of Duran Duran's best tracks ever. There isn't a dud track on here and while this compilation doesn't cover any of the singles from 1993's brilliant Wedding Album, it is as good an introduction to the band as any.
They Are "Wild Boys" with a Wildly Good Sound!
Here it is...a collection of the greatest songs from one of the 80's greatest bands. This is a brilliant compilation of the unique and refreshing sound of Duran Duran. They rocked the 80's with number one hits and sold out concerts. This album brings back all those memories from songs such as " Hungry Like The Wolf", "Rio", "Is There Something I Should Know", "Union of The Snake", "The Reflex", "Wild Boys" and "Notorious". With that being exactly half of the album, you can imagine how great of an album this truly is.
