dont go just another day without it!
after success writing for gloria estefan and an established backing singer..jons first album album was released on the back on huge international hit "just another day" which hit the top of the charts around the world...sucess didn't follow..which is a shame as his voice is powerful!

so to the album...

"just another day" is an amazing song...deserved the sucess it got! 10/10

""dreams that i follow" takes a while to hit its stride but when it does it a strong track 8/10

"angel" was released as the 3rd single and it got into the mid 20's its a big power ballad...its beautiful! 9/10

"do you believe in us" is more club/dance track and one of the strongest songs on the album 9/10

"one of a kind" plods along as a filler 6/10

"time heals" is a standout track and should have been released! has aching vocals..great lyrics...catchy chorus..10/10

"do you beleive in us" was the 2nd single and a big departure from "just another day" very club sounding....its a great track and dont know why it didn't do better 9/10

"misunderstood" is latin flavoured and a filler 5/10

"always something" is a live recording...and should have been left off 3/10

"im free" was the 4th single and only just made no.50...its a great track...amazing in fact! full of summer..hope...haapiness... 9/10

the two extra tracks are spanish versions and ok if you like that!

as an album its very strong...some really great tracks...one thing sometimes jon crosses the line of power and squealling which can get a bit annoying!

still it hasnt stopped me enjoying every album he has released!!!

A SOLID DEBUT ALBUM...
Cuban born Jon Secada is a very talented artist. There are two big tracks on the CD. These are "Just Another Day" and "Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte", which are basically the same song, except one is sung in English and the other in Spanish. No matter what language in which it is sung, it is a beautiful song. Unfortunately, the rest of the music does not meet the standard set by these two tracks. While solid, the rest of the tracks are nothing all that special. Still, it is a good, solid debut album.

Excellent from start to finish, and well worth buying.
From the first time I heard 'Just Another Day', I knew that I liked the sound of Jon Secada. I bought the album, and it didn't disappoint. My favourite song on the album is the romantic ballad 'Angel', because it reminds me so much of when I fell in love with a girlfriend. With other songs such as 'Dreams That I Carry' with its rhythm and melody, the up-tempo, dancy number 'Do You Really Want Me' and the uplifting 'I'm Free', the first album by Jon Secada is well worth buying, and is just a taster into the sound of his music.
