You Don't Own This Master Piece?5
Im a guy with 100's of cd's, 100's vinyl. Music is my life! I can never answer the question "If you had 10 albums for life, which ones would you take?" Its physically impossible. But i must say this album i wouldn't forget. I got into the Crash Test Dummies through my Dad. Theres not 1 track i wouldn't want to listen too. The lyrics are very amusing and random. The music itself, is wonderfully constructed with all sorts of sounds. I do own a few of the albums by the Crash Test Dummies, but nothing will EVER beat this album. They can try the hardest but this just wouldn't be as good. This is a must buy, for sure!

The best Dummies album4
I bought this album after I'd heard 'MMM MMM MMM MMM' on the radio. This is one of quite a few stand out tracks on the album, my favourite one being 'How does a duck know?' This is certainly Dummies most accessible album and IMO their best by some way. Brad's voice is certainly more distinctive than on their first album and the overall quality of the album is far better. I don't think there's a bad track on the album and I don't think that Dummies will ever beat this album.

One Hit Wonders1
I got this album for one reason and one reason alone, 'Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm'. Its a great tune, lyrics are weak but so what, its a guilty pleasure, above par backing music, stick it on and relax. I was hoping the rest of the album would provide the same, nice, relaxing MOR fare, not too taxing, real easy listening stuff. Unfortunately, the rest of the album is exceptionablly poor. Whats even more unfortunate is that Brad Roberts has a truly amazing baritone voice and if only there was a few more half decent tunes, buying this album could be justified. As it stands its a very poor album, and a waste of a unique vocal talent. I suggest you look to Mark Lanegan, Absentee or Lupen Crook to provide you with the folk driven MOR offerings that 'Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm' suggest Crash Test Dummies can deliver.
