Customer Reviews
It seemed a good idea at the time, but....
Of the four D.G albums I have bought, this one has lost its appeal. I was glad that John Paul Jones attempted (along with other experiments) more than Page and Plant have managed, post- Zeppelin; and it makes any tedious talk of a reunion seem redundant. This is possibly better than a reformed Zeppelin.
As a Diamanda Galas album, however, it is a bit forced, apart from a few tracks.
"The Dark End Of The Street" and "Baby's Insane" are later given a better renditions on "La Serpenta Canta."
Very good album
You must buy this cd album, because it is an ultimate work from her
galas hard rock style!
i always thought her voice would be well suited for a heavy rock band and this album delivers. The theme is obsessive lovers and it is amazing. diamanda hits out at the rap scene and its attitudes towards women in a song based on slaughtering a man held prisoner by a female gang. Two great musicians on one album. a definate must for fans and new comers!
