Amazon.co.uk Review
A lot of the fun of the comic misfire Sliding Doors can be found in this sunny soundtrack. The Gwyneth Paltrow film has the distinction of being released the same year the Yankee won an Oscar in another English flick (Shakspeare in Love). The song collection has the retro 1990s feel with such club bands as Space Monkeys and Jamiroquai. The songs could be used in an effective dance-party tape. The opening number, "Have Fun, Go Mad", by Blair has a British funk beat that sets up the breezy nature of the film. Aimee Mann's "Amateur" and the Patti LaBelle-Michael McDonald hit "On My Own" covered by Peach Union are highlights. As with all '90s Brit comedies there is the obligatory Elton John oldie ("Honky Cat") thrown in for good measure. --Doug Thomas

Sliding Doors5
A fantastic emotional soundrtrack that captures the very essence of a great movie. BUY IT!!

Brilliant but missing three relevant tracks4
I thought the film was brilliant so bought the soundtrack but found it was missing "Bennie & the Jets" (on the tape playing in the bedroom when Helen walked in on Jerry & Lydia) plus "Coming up for air", and "Tenderness on the block" (when she's in the hospital lift at the end). These are all listed at the end of the film but not on the actual soundtrack. How bizarre!

Great soundtrack to a great film5
Another great album for a great film. One almost misses parts of the films as you hum along to this great soundtrack. It has a great mix of slow numbers and also the fabulous dodgy as well.
