Chris De Burgh: Still romantic after all these years...
Chris De Burgh is possibly the last true romantic still recording songs for those of us with a similar emotional outlook.
For most people unfamiliar with Chris's work, 'Lady In Red' remains his best known opus, but that excellent track is merely the cherry on the top of a rather gorgeous cake.

This well thought out compilation includes such gems as my own personal favourite, 'So Beautiful', a song that both my previous wives loved: it became "our tune".
Other tracks include 'Much More Than This' (not to be confused with Bryan Ferry's 'More Than This'), 'Lonely Sky', 'Fatal Hesitation' and the almost elegaic 'Lonely Sky', amongst others. This, in short, is a selection that spans the entire gamut of feelings that a person in love can experience. It's almost as if Chris could read his fan's mind (one of which I've been for almost 20 years)and was saying "yes, I know and understand EXACTLY what you're experiencing. Because I feel it TOO".

So, if you want to experience the best artist to emerge from Ireland since The Batchelors, you could do no better than to start here. I cannot recommend this album enough.

fantastic - a must for those in or out of love
this is an incredible album, bringing together chris de burgh's most famous song of all time, and one that karoke queens worldwide will know 'lady in red' as well as some of his lesser known, but equally loveable tracks. something i've had for a while, and wouldn't ever be without, a must for those in a relationship, out of a relationship, just married, or recently dumped. a truly heart rendering, and thoroughly heart felt selection of tracks, for all of one's moods. not too soft, and yet something that captures a mood or emotion at any given time. a personal favourite - not just for cronies! even better, go see the man himself, live - i did, at the albert hall, london at xmas, and he really was great!

Very good but should include High on Emotion.
This is a good compilation of some of the best songs by one of the most underrated songwriters of the post-sixties era. Of course it includes his two biggest hits, The Lady in Red and Missing You plus many other great and much overlooked songs. I feel, however, that the absence of High on Emotion prohibits me from awarding this CD all five stars - it is supposed to be a "best of" compilation after all.
