Customer Reviews

Foot-stompingly good (!)5
This is one CD you can listen to years from now and still enjoy. In my opinion, this was one of the best rock'n'roll musicals ever (have been to it twice) and though soundtracks are never as good as the real thing, this one comes extremely close. V witty at times, and an excellent 60s feel-good compilation to boot. Buy it, put it on and DANCE.

A Great Show4
For fans of this musical, or those new to it, this is a great recording. The songs stand up as great songs on their own but they work as a great collection. Lots of the libretto is kept in which links the songs and most of them are very faithful to the score. The only draw back in my opinion is some of the singing voices aren't great, in particular the science officer who sings 'Go Now' and miranda who sings 'teenager in love'. Over all though it is a good recording of a great show.

I love this show!5
This CD has all the brilliant tracks from the stage show 'Return to the Forbidden Planet.' Classic hits from the 50's, but with a sci-fi flair, such as 'Great balls of fire' adapted for an asteroid storm, will keep your listening for hours! Fun, catchy and memorable, this CD is a must for all fans of the show, and a great listen for anyone else.
