I Just Love Eddi5
All I have to say about this album is, if it was the only cd I owned I would be happy.

eddi reader a great writer4
Having come to listen to Eddi Reader after seeing a video of Patience of Angels I first bought Eddi Reader and Angels and Electricity which I instantly enjoyed so much I decided to buy Mirmama, but didnt instantly like it as much as the others, but on the second listening I found it as enjoyable as the other two but not as strong musically. The best tracks are the opening song"What you do with what you've got",and the last track"My old friend the blues".The weakest track was I felt Eddi's version of the classic folk song"The Blacksmith" which I feel is best sung in its traditional way[Eddis style doesntlend itself to this song at all] but I did like her version of The Swimming Song.So all in all, not in my opinion one of Eddi Readers best CD's but nevertheless one worthy of addition to your music library

Contains one of the most beautiful lyric ever4
Track one 'What you do with what you've got' is in my mind one of the most beautiful lyric ever written. Simple production and sung in a voice that brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Every one you know should be made to listen to the words - its not often something like a pop song can be described as poetry but believe me this one can. The rest of the cd is a mixture of up and down moods - sung with that gorgeous, dreamy Scottish lilt. Without a doubt her best work.
