CD Description
A collection of the most popular tracks by the new romantic/pop act who formed in Birmingham in the late 1970's. Between 1981 and 1989 Duran Duran had 13 top ten hits, and they are all included here. 'Is There Something I Should Know' and 'The Reflex' were both no.1 singles.

duran duran's greatest moments
I have always been a fan of Duran Duran, I thought they were great. It took me years to get hold of their greatest hits album but now I have. Its a good album which lists all of their hits way back to the early '80s. From the likes of 'is there something i should know' with its catchy beat and memorable chorus all the way to the '90s with underrated 'come undone' this album will take you on a trip down memory lane. My favourites are 'Girls on film', 'Save a prayer' and 'Hungry like the wolf' but theres not a bad track on the album. The lyrics are genuine unlike some of the rubbish thats been in the charts. I feel duran duran's greatest rounds off their finest hits quite nicely. Outstanding cd.
Near Perfect Compilation ...
The return of the original lineup of Duran could be more than just an exercise in nostalgia ... I caught them 'live' when they came to Singapore recently and was privy to a couple of new songs that will be in their upcoming album this fall (2004). I found one of the songs to be extremely catchy; it had a nice folk-pop arrangement.
With regards to this compilation, it is near perfect and supercedes their previous Decade. My only complaint is that they left out Out Of My Mind, the single from the soundtrack of The Saint. It is definitely better than say, Serious or All She Wants Is, either of which should have made way for it. If I were to nitpick further, they could have considered other songs like My Own Way, Careless Memories, New Religion (a concert fave), Do You Believe In Shame, or even Violence Of Summer, but hey, there's only so much space on the CD (as evidenced by the inclusion of shorter single versions).
Good enough to whet your appetite for their new album .. if it is as good as The Bangles comeback album (Doll Revolution), I would be reasonably happy!
The Best Duran Duran Compilation Album
A brillian compilation album of Duran Duran's hits spanning their entire career from Planet Earth to Ordinary World. Interesting fact that Tony Hadley (ex-lead singer Spandau Ballet) recently covered Save A Prayer - a song which sends shivers down my spine! This album is classic Duran Duran and every title is enjoyable to listen to as can hear all teh different music ranges that Duran are capable of producing from Wild Boys (very macho!) to their James Bond theme tune, View To A Kill
