shocking
After the first two exceptional outings, MH took a very strange turn and this offers nothing other than some very poor nu-metal rantings. This includes an attempt at 'message in a bottle', one which simply puts the Police in a better light.
a step or 2 down
B U R N M Y E Y E S well that is a raw classic heavy metal at its best from the guitars to the vocals to the drums to the bass! the follow up to that THE MORE THINGS CHANGE was an almos tperfect follow up if this was to be machine heads worse album then what a great success that wud have been- lyrics and instruments as well on this album brilliant!! stand out trax- ten ton hammer take my scars struck a nerve bay of pigs and the best of em all violate!! not one song on the burning red can compare to even the worse song on either he first two albums the blood sweat and tears exhale the vile devil with the kings card and emotional five are hilights of the album but only worthy of a 3 star rating were as bme 5 and tmtc 4. If superchargr didnt follow i wud hate the burning red but comparing them the red is a good album now- it is a must own for real machine head fans jsut to complete the collection and have the trax in theere possesion but if ur jusst buying the best random hevay metal albums forget this get urself bme tmtc and the newst installment- throught the ashes of empires!!
all in all the burning red isnt anything speacil tho it isnt a crap album!
Oh My God
The head's third albumn "The Burning Red" saw a very significant musical development within the band, A less raw but by no means less brilliant approach to the song writing and musical content. Flynn's voice can do anything, a true god of our time. From the chilling "The burning red" through to the ball busting "Blood the sweat the tears" this albumn has it all. Dont expect another Burn my eyes from this albumn thats not what its about, a superb albumn none the less and well worth your wages or pocket money!
