Very good, but also very long...
Dream Theater's massive double cd Live set reaches into their impressive back catalogue, as well as plundering their latest (at the time) work. The production is (as expected) par excellence and the track listing will please even the most diehard DT fans. James converses with the French audience in their native tongue and generally holds the audience in the palm of his hand. A great gig, well recorded.
The only drawback is the length of the album, which is a bit difficult to sit through in one go, due only to it's length.
The inclusion of a drum solo may annoy some diehard 'songs only' types, but if you are into DT, you'll expect (and maybe even like!) this.
Overall, then:
A great gig, full of great songs, old and new, captured on a great album.
A must buy. Only drops one star, due to its length which may put some people off.
