Big Bad Baldurs Gate
This game is an absolute gem.It is a massive fantasy world set in medieval times.You take on hundreds of beautifully designed monsters,from dragons to orcs,each with their own special abilities and traits.With a vast array of weapons and spells available for you to wield this game is the most exiting and beautiful one of its type that I know.While you take on the legions of monsters you battle through the most beautiful scenery,including dark dungeons and lush forests.Just to make the game even better you can actually interact with you surrounds,i.e talking to charecters and moving scenery!!!Add all these elements of gameplay together and you have an absolutely classic game.Simply a masterpiece.

baldurs gate 2 the best rpg
After playing Baldurs Gate 1 twice I thought it reeally couldn't get any better but the boys at BG2 have surpassed themselves I only have a Imac but it runs well and the gameplay is excellent the characters are again well thought out and the quests are challenging but not impossible just brilliant but I would recommend people to play BG1 first as it could be a little confusing for a virgin D&D player

Great game, poor port, very poor value for Mac users
This game was so unstable as to be unplayable on my wife's G3, and during the brief periods when it was running, it was horribly slow.

She ended up playing through the PC version, using a spare PC. Maybe it runs better on a G4? but in any case, I'd advise you to make sure you can get a refund if it doesn't work properly on your Mac, or just get the (much cheaper) PC version if you have access to a suitable PC.
