Excellent Mark King
Well, what can I say about One Man. Fabulous solo album by my hero - Mark.
A smooth groove of music which you can go from boogie-ing to the height of chill out.....
Pamela - the ulitmate pi** take about bimbos the world over - causing great hilarity between us laddettes who worship the King!
Changing The Guard - my particular favourite track although Half Written Songs comes a close second.
To really appreciate this CD you MUST be a die hard fan of Mark's..... one or two of my friends who were never really Level 42 fans didn't have the joy from the CD that I did.....
One Man, If I had Something, Changing The Guard..... classic, cool, smooth, chillout, funky, wonderful Mark King at his best......
Mark King - One Man - One hell of a good album!!
I've always had a fan-spot for Level 42. This album is something new, (with a dash of the old school thrown in here 'n' there). Track 7, Love Wars has an awesome anthem feel to it, while Track 6 "Take my hand" is relaxed, soothing and subtle.
Track 2 "Swimming With Sky" you can hear traces and phrases of "Staring at then Sun".
On the whole, a great album to have and listen to. I love driving around with this on in the car.
not as good as his new album called 'trash'
got soom good songs on,i like changing the guard best, it reminds me of level. this album is not all his own work and it shows. but if you buy his new album called 'trash'you will not be disappointed, every song every instrument played is all marks own work, what an album it is,mark at his best, true bass.save your money and buy mark kings new album called trash.
