On A LOVE SUPREME, Chante Moore's supple, sensuous vocals snake around jazzy, R&B mid-tempo grooves, in search of the perfect love. From the sultry, spoken opening where she unmistakably states her modern-day intentions to the old phono recording scratches of "Old School Love", Chante searches, preys, teases, romances, and snares.
Chante is one of the leading new R&B divas. Her voice has a remarkable range, and an emotive quality rare in many new artists. She is reminiscient of Diana Ross, but a full-throttle Ross. Her jazz inclinations and rich, lower register also remind the listener of Anita Baker and Toni Braxton. Her tempo is one groove beyondthat sexy territory owned by Sade. Her strong ballads like "Thou Shalt Not" and rough-edged, satiny timbre are similar to Whitney Houston's style. And in "I'm What You Need" she reaches those glass-shattering Mariah Carey notes, but only afew, just enough to embellish the song. Her restraint is anindication of what a truly great singer she is. When added all together the shared qualities congeal to create a uniqueartist who stands on her own.
Chante Moore is poised to become The Voice--so, make way for the next R&B diva.

Stunning
A beautiful, well crafted effort from Chante Moore.
Jazz, Rnb, Pop and Soul all mixed up to create this album. Her voice is soft, beautiful, with a great range. She reminds me of Mariah Carey in many ways.
Stand out tracks are I'm What You Need (sultry and sexy), Your Love's Sumpreme (feel good, chill out track with beautiful notes), Free/Sail On (summer feeling to it, her version is better than the originial) and the haunting Am I Losing You.
Chante is underrated and this her best album of them all. She is a fantastic RNB Diva with an amazing voice.
If you like Mariah, Whitney, Tamia, Beyonce, Toni or Aalyiah. You will like Chante Moore.
A Love Supreme Indeed!
Possibly one of Chante's strongest works. Simply stunning and absolutely essential - the vocals on this album are incredible and tracks like 'Your Love's Supreme' set the standard for what is an excellent soul album.
BUY IT!
PS: Her newer stuff is pants - Stick to this album and her earlier offering - 'Precious'...
A soothing soul album
Chante Moore is possibly the most underrated female r and b act around. Apart from her 1999 hit "Chante's Got A Man", she has rarely graced charts around the world and let me tell you the world is missing out. She is a real diva and adds a touch of class and style to a genre that is dominated by street styled stars. This album is very smooth and mellow and has a very sensual and emotional feel to it. Chante's strength is definitely her vocal power, which carries most of the album and adds depth to all of these soulful songs. I guess she can be likened to Luther Vandross as Luther is very elegant and classy and although he has made some great soul records has never quite become the superstar he deserves to be. The album is brilliant and includes some of Chante's best work such as "I'm What You Need", "I Want To Thank You", "Your Love's Supreme" and "This Time". Overall it's a great album the only real problem that I have is that many of the songs lack melodies and rely too heavily on Chante's vocals to carry them along, but overall no bad at all.
