The freestyle "Supermodel Sandwich" takes on even more diverse influences, hinting at Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. But D'Arby's true talents--those of a penultimate post-modern soul-man--come through best on the Wonder-ful ballad "Undeniable", which is as expansively lovely as one of Stevie's own, and breathes on the wings Kevin Wyatt'sairy bass and Branford Marsalis' spacious sax solo.
D'Arby is a first-rate songwriter, splendid vocalist and versatile musician who wears his influences broadly. And TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY'S VIBRATOR adds up to a musically intoxicating concoction.

Complexificated Simplistic Groovalicious Soul
One of the few albums that I listen and love every track. I find it physically impossible not to nod my head to most of the tracks. Whilst not as expansive as Symphony or Damn, Vibrator's comparative brevity results in superb production - listen to it through a pair of good reference headphones to see what I mean. Each song seems perfectly pitched and weighted with instruments, percussion and voice in just the right places. The Dynamics and Musicality of Vibrator brilliantly reflect TTD's vocal skills - He could be singing total garbage and this would still be an almost perfect album.

A raunchy collection of well written songs!
Track three on this album "holding onto you" is an amazing heart-felt ballad with excellent original lyrics. TTD's voice is exceptional, impressive, sexy and versatile. The album has a fair balance of up beat songs and ballads. His lyrics are inventive and his name appears in the credits beneath each song including all instruments and backing vocals by TTD! Buy this album to chill to and to dance to!
