Live Rock at Its Best!
There is no disputing it, RJD IS the king of Rock and Roll. He kicks off with Jesus,Mary... one of the best songs from Dio's recent releases. He flies through some old classics, some Sabbath and some Rainbow, all played to perfection in my opinon. Tracy G isn't on top form, but I was blown away by the multiple riffs in the encore. Highlights for me were Heaven + Hell, Hunter of the Heart and We Rock. Left me wanting more, hopefully we'll see a live release soon with the latest stuff on board! A well-deserved 5 stars.
Powerful rock by the small man with the big voice
This is a good representation of RJD doing his thing live. There are enough old fav's here to please those who are fans and it's a fair introduction. Last In Line, Mob Rules, Heaven and Hell and Rainbow In The Dark are all here with newer numbers form the Angry Machines album. Jesus Mary And The Holy Ghost unndoubtedly the best of the new. The solid rythm section of Appice and Dennison but there are some shaky guitar moments from Tracy G. Craig Goldie he is not but if you're a Dio fan then this the most recent live release for years and is a worthwhile addition.
