Fantastic Compilation of Uptempo 60s Soul!5
This CD is fantastic, it's aimed at Mod fans of Soul in particular, but this is really for any fan of good Soul Music. It focuses on upbeat soul songs popular in UK mod clubs in the 60s (as opposed to most Northern Soul compilations on the same Ace/Kent label, which have a slightly different emphasis even though most of it's from the 60s as well), has good liner notes with an intro by an ex Small Faces member as well as a small piece of fiction which tries to capture the mindset of a young English mod. The songs are all from the Atlantic label (part of a great series of Atlantic licensed comps) and feature a enough well known artists to keep it accesible, along with lesser known ones, but they don't use the most obvious song e.g. Wilson Picket appears with "Three Time Loser" not Land of 1000 dances, and the version of "Green Onions" included is a great jazzy cut by King Curtis. Other songs include the stormer "Looking for a Fox." - Clarence Carter, "Just One Look" - Doris Troy, & "The Memphis Train" - Rufus Thomas. Just buy it!

Wonderful 60's Soul Music5
This is a wonderful collection of 60s soul tunes that will have you tapping your feet and wishing you were dancing the night away in a dark, sweaty, Mod club in 60's soho. The CD is wonderfully put together, as with all Kent soul compilations. This one is for people who like an edge and a bit of rawness to their soul music. Personal favourites are "Looking for a fox" by Clarence Carter and "Walking up a one way street" by Willie Tee -but they're all great - fantastic CD!!

'At the club' does exactly what is says, it puts you there.. dancing5
This is a beautiful mix. Essential listening if you are into club soul, R&B, MOD or simply great 60Ts soul tracks with jazz and beat influences. You can't help but tap your feet or get up and dance with superb tracks like '40 Days and 40 Nights' 'Poison Ivy', 'Last Train', 'Some other guy'. The excellent 'Looking for a Fox', 'Something Good' and 'Que sera, sera'. In fact I may as well just list all the tracks. You won't be disappointed.
