That's better!
Meat Loaf's fourth album was released a year after its (for me) disappointing predecessor. This is better! A little brief at 39 minutes with no 'long' songs, it is written by Sarah Jacobs and Paul Durkee, except that two Steinman tracks are featured: 'Surf's Up' is certainly a high point of the album and was the first track that Meat recorded from Steinman's own 'Bad For Good' album. Meat would susequently record more tracks from 'Bad To Good' and make a much better job of them vocally than Steinman. On this album, Meat's voice in finally back on top form and he powerfully delivers some cracking rock tracks. For me, the last three songs do it. You'll also find the single 'Modern Girl'.

What an album ,
meatloaf in my opinion made this album work no-one else could sing this. one of his greatest songs on the ablbum i thought was "Cheatin' in your dreams", although it has a slow start to me personaly this song in particular ment alot to me. Meat loaf someone who i have loved since the age of four. many of meats songs give a sense of power and strength so much emotion he has put into this album and i would recomend it to anyone

Great album, Meat Made His Mark With This One
In 1984 meat was facing bankruptcy and he decided to record and tour and made this not so famous but excellent album.
Not his best but much better than Midnight and Blind Before I Stop.
The album title track and opener Bad Attitude, explains and sound what the album has got. Piece Of Action, Modern Girl, Surfs Up and Nowhere Fast are the album stand out tracks,
Surf's Up was Meat Loaf's first recarnation of Jim Steinman's Bad For Good songs.
If your a meat fan, this album must be in your collection.
