Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Heart in Motion is the 1991 album that broke Amy Grant into the mainstream pop-music charts, yielding five top 20 singles and two No. 1 hits in the States ("Baby Baby" and "Every Heartbeat"). But while the release is filled with upbeat beboppin' singles, it also displays a more serious side and a depth of song-writing ability from Christian music's first lady. The urgent "Ask Me" introduces you to a sexually abused girl who miraculously grips tightly to her faith while struggling through a difficult history, while "I Will Remember You" and "How Can We See That Far" are haunting ballads dripping with echo-laden guitars. Indeed, Grant showcases a wide variety of sounds and flavours on this, her multiplatinum introduction to the secular music world. --Michael Lyttle

CD Description
After establishing herself as the most popular singer in the contemporary Christian music scene during the 1980s, Amy Grant made her secular pop breakthrough with 1991's HEART IN MOTION. The album was a massive commercial success, containing four Billboard Top Ten hits: "Good For Me", "Baby Baby", "Every Heartbeat", and "That's What Love Is For". HEART IN MOTION was remastered and reissued by Sparrow Records in 2007.

Great Songs4
This album contains a delightful array of songs: starry-eyed ballads like I Will remember You, How Can We See That Far and That's What Love Is, effervescent uptempo tunes like Good For Me and funky fun as in Hats. Grant is not afraid to tackle issues like the demands placed on modern women (Hats) or the distressing reality of child abuse (Ask Me). Her attractive and alluring voice shifts with ease between the ballads and the more energetic, bouncy numbers. Grant's versatility is further highlighted by the fact that she wrote/co-wrote all but one of these songs. A gratifying listening experience.

One of the BEST albums that I have ever listened to5
Amy Grant has to be one of the most inspritational christian artists around . This albumn is one of my all time favourites, from upbeat pop songs to deep and meaningful ballads that almost bring tears to your eyes. She is proof that being a christian is not only wonderful, it is also fun. This is something that most artists are unable to do . Heart in Motion is a must for christians and non christians alike. No matter how many times you listen to this albumn I hope that like me you will never get bored with it.

Bouncy and Brilliant musically, and pensive thoughtful words4
Amy Grant is one in a million, she's able to combine her faith with her music, and to sell the music as well. Musically she has a country swing, mixed with a more modern style. She writes her own songs, and they have a depth and a truth within them. This album is brilliant!
