unsung heroins
Overlooked 80's band of superiority as this compilation demonstrates.Great songs evocative of an era,well written,crafted and performed.A real girl band that never reached the acclaim deserved.Buy and enjoy.
Quality Early 80s Ska-Pop
There are some real gems here,my favourites being the wistful Indian Summer,memorable smash-hit Sign of the Times,Sweet Memory and The Entertainer,which sounds like the blueprint for the earlier part of Madonna's career.There was much more to them than the 'female Madness' tag & the cover versions they are mostly known for like Iko Iko,Clapping Song & Mockingbird.Buy it and think back to a time when well-crafted tunes were ten a penny and even songs as good as Indian Summer had trouble charting.
