Product Description

The Jacksons kicked open the door to the '80s with the appropriately titled TRIUMPH. Michael Jackson's gigantic successa year earlier with his platinum-selling OFF THE WALL fueled this album, which heavily features his scorching vocals and hitmaking production sensibilities.
With all songs written and produced by the Jacksons, the album begins with the orchestral bombast of "Can You Feel It", complete with childand adult choirs; it's a big song with a monumental production. Entering a new phase of their career mixing spooky spirituality with unimpeachably funky beats, the Jacksons feature a number of hits, notably the sentimental boogie of "Lovely One", the paranoid lyrics and chugging disco beat of "WalkRight Now", and Michael's downright eerie "This Place Hotel" (aka "Heartbreak Hotel"), which may well be where he met Billie Jean.

I agree totally with the reviwer above here. This LP out of all the Jacksons LP's is easily the best. Theres not a bad track on here. I remeber buying this on vinyl when i was 13 and got it after Thriller cam out. I still play this LP today and snapped it up as soon as it was released on CD. The only downside is that these reissues havent been remasterd unlike Michaels albums which is a shame but is only a minor niggle. The fantastic This place hotel and can you feel it are prbably the best tracks but Lovely one and your ways are divine too. If you like Michael and want to invest in a jacksons album..THIS IS THE ONE..get it now!

An absolute truimph!5
Out of the three CBS releases: Destiny, Truimph and Victory, this is the best. It has 1 more song than the other two, and features better songs. It starts with the most famous track -'can you feel it'. An epic, Michael's vocals make this song brilliant. The 'lovely one' follows, another good song, with a typical Michael Jackson ending. 'Your ways' is alright, not as good as the first two, probably because the vocals are along way up the scale. 'Everybody' is the worst, but isn't that bad. And then there's 'this place hotel' (or that's what it says on the cover - very confusing) - probably the best song and guess what, it is written by Michael Jackson. It has a stunning guitar solo - and starts and end in spectacular fashion. 'Time waits for no-one'. Through composed and a very gentle peace. When the title is sang again and again is when this song is at its best. My favourite track then follows: the long 'walk right now', absolute class. The next track is ruined by a perculiar ending, and is high pitched - though it is still a enjoyable. And then 'wondering who', also a very good track. This happened just before 'Thriller' and was a very good TEAM effort. Arguably the best Jackson album to-date, STUNNING.
