The darkest of counrty and blues
I have just about everything by Mr. Lanegan (ex Screaming Trees frontman) and I think he is one of the greatest song writers of the 80's and 90s. The A side of this single is a confessional little country tune and is quite typical of Lanegan, although it is a little poppier than what he usually writes. It is another collaboration with his long-time partener Mike Johnson. Also it is another example of great talent as a lyricist. The b sides are not bad either. Look out for more of the growling Mark Lanegan on his new record 'Field Songs.'
