Excellent
Almost four years passed before Fiona Apple recorded her second album, so you would expect this one to be extremely polished - and it is. Although it is more hard-edged than the first album, Tidal, it still demonstrates Fiona's excellent melodic ability, as well as her well-thought-out (sometimes slightly Beatle-esque) arrangements. An extremely good album.

A welcome return of Fiona Apple with a stunning album that's taken her music to a whole new level. Much stronger and with more attitude than Tidal, tracks like "Limp" and "A Mistake" pound out with a more upbeat and dancier feel yet still retain Fiona's melodious lyrical style. A definate must for all Fiona fans and highly recommended if you're into the likes of Alanis Morissette.
Fiona's back - as good as ever!
Fiona Apple's new CD is every bit as good as 'Tidal'. It's not quite as immediately accessible as her first, but this can only be a good thing. They're all good, but some standout tracks are the US single 'Fast As You Can', 'A Mistake', 'The Way Things Are' (which has tinges of Aimee Mann), and 'Get Gone'. Go on, buy it!
