Amazon.co.uk Review
They are, don't ya know, the boy band who write their own songs. And, as if to prove the point, open up the CD inlay and there are Ben, Christian, Mark and Paul posing next to their preferred instruments. In Ben's case, that instrument happens to be a microphone, but let's overlook that and concentrate on his doe eyes: in boy bands these things matter as much as the grown-up stuff. But Here We Come is not without its musical merits. They've had some help, but that's to be expected. The lush orchestral arrangements of "Everytime" and "Walking In The Rain" are particularly useful in propping up otherwise slight melodies, whilst former D:Ream frontman Peter Cunnah lends a helping hand on three tracks, most notably that cholera-catchy hit "Be The First To Believe". Perhaps the scariest about the songs on Here We Come is how very little they differ from the sort of material previously found on Boyzone and Take That albums--scary because this lot would have been toddlers when those bands first sprang to popularity. Could A1 really be the first in a generation of musicians for whom Boyzone and Take That are a seminal influence? --Peter Paphides

OH MY GOD!!
From zero to A1 in 60 seconds - these guys are the tops! I used to think all boy bands were uninspired, losers devoid of any musical morals or integrity, but then... Wait!! Stop - you fool!! Put on them disc-brakes and make a 180degree spin - your car just ran out of fuel (and there's no petrol station for the next 10 miles) Look again, because cars don't run on 'pop' alone - that is, unless you've got A1 Unleaded.
'Nuff said.
a stands for ace!
Before the album arrived I was having doubts but when it arrived I put it into my cd player to see what it was like and I couldn't believe I had doubts!!! It is a very good album with most of the tracks written by a1 themselves!!!
If you do have doubts buying this cd don't!
A definite "Tongue-Catcher"! :)
a1 have excelled themselves, by blasting out top notch tunes that you just can't help but sing along to. Fair play to the lads, who have managed to write their first album without much help from other artists (unlike Westlife). Each member have proven to be equally as talented, justifying this when seen performing live. An album perfect for any generation of "Pop-music" lovers without involving Cursing, drugs, sex or violence. This album should definitely be on everyone's "a-List"!
