It's really cold and tastes completely of strawberries!!!!5
This is the greatest Chrimbo movie ever. We taped it when it was first shown on TV many many years ago. It still makes me and my sister laugh, and we watch it every Christmas. Lenny Henry has some of the most quotable comic lines ever!! But alas, the tape is warped, fuzzy and old, and someone taped over the first twenty minutes. I'd love to buy a copy, but at £60 I'll have to give it a miss: I'd sooner pay for it in parts of my anatomy than that kind of cash! I'd love to re-tape it but it has never been shown since. When will this come out on DVD? Why is it never ever shown on TV any more??? This is one of the great tragedies of modern life!!
And no matter how time passes, one can never get over the true wonder of that smile....

What in the banana tree are you doing here?5
Bernard and the Genie is the best christmas film ever made. After years of wondering whether it would be repeated (tv bosses please take note!) I managed to buy my very own copy, and I wouldn't be without it! Its the sort of film you can watch over and over again and never get bored of it.
Bye flower!

This is a film that I would kill to own, and I'm not kidding...ok I am but this is seriously required in any video collection. The basic premise is that Bernard Bottle (Alan Cumming) is fired from an Art dealership and simultaneously dumped by his cheating girlfriend. All she leaves him with is shelves and an old lamp. As you can guess the lamp is rubbed and the genie (Lenny Henry) released from his imprisonment amid a large explosion, which leaves Bernard in hospital with 'severely singed testicles'...Great! When he gets home the mayhem truly starts with wishes being made whilst both Bernard and Josephus have fun and discover what they really need in life.
This is a classic feel good christmas movie that hasn't been on Tv in way too long. Anyone with a copy...treasure it, but if you're not I'm sure I can make a reasonable offer! :-)
