DOA VS TRUTH COMMISION (2/10)
All I can say about this is........ CRAP

KANE(with Paul bearer) VS MANKIND (9/10)
This is a brutal match with hardly any wrestling moves-BUT SO WHAT WHEN THE FIGHTING IS THIS GOOD.mankind had said he would defeat kane or die trying-AND HE NEARLY DID!!!!!!!Mankind did everything he could to take down kane,but nothing he could do worked.In the end kane destroyed mankind with a tombstone.I must add 2 things to this review.1,this match is covered in an eerie red light.2,mankid stuck his fingers down bearer's throat.

THE NATION VS AHMED JOHNSON,LEGION OF DOOM AND KEN SHAMROCK (8/10)
This match was very good with ahmed seeking revenge on the nation for his assault a while back.He got help in the form of shamrock and the L.O.D this match was decent with good performances from everybody.It ended up with shamrock vs the rock.shamrock forced the rock into submision using the ancklelock.

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
OWEN HART VS STONE COLD (8/10)
This was all about revenge.Owen broke austain's neck at summerslam 1997.Austain beat the living hell out of owen in less than five minutes,to win the championship.

OUTLAWS+GODWINS VS BLACKJACKS+HEADBANGERS (4/10)
A poor match.The only reason this got 4/10 was because of the outlaws taking the p**s out of the other competitors!

TEAM U.S.A(VADER,GOLDUST,STEVE BLACKMAN AND MARC MERO) VS TEAM CANADA (BRITISH BULLDOG,JIM NEIDHART,PHIL LAFON,DOUG FURNAS)(10/10)
This match was outstanding all the way through with each man playing a unique part.There was brawling and great wrestling.In the end the two captains were left in the ring.The bulldog nailed vader with the ringbell,behind the referee's back to secure team canada the victory.

SHAWN MICHAELS VS BRET HART (10/10)
LEGENDARY!!!HBK'S entrance was hilarious as he used the canadian flag in a variety of ways:
1.sticking it up his nose!
2.putting it down his pants and rubbing it in the ref's face!
3.pretending to p**s on it!
The crowd were enraged by this and during the fight I saw a fan
trying to attack Shawn Michaels.Before the match began HBK and Bret fought around the arena,using flags to choke each other.Eventually the referees managed to get them back to the ring for the match to begin.During the match Bret tried to break HBK's leg using his sharpshooter maneuver.As HBK went for the sharpshooter on Bret the bell rang for no apparent reason.I watched in shock as all was revealed-BRET HAD BEEN SCREWED OUT OF THE TITLE AND THE WWF-FOR REAL!!!THIS WAS NOT PLANNED!MCHMAN HAD FORCED BRET OUT OF THE WWF TITLE.BRET SPAT AT MCHMAN AS HBK GOT THE HELL OUT OF THE ARENA TAKING THE TITLE WITH HIM.Later rumours were circulating that hart had chased mchman to his office and the boss had locked himself inside.THIS MATCH IS A LEGEND.

I watched this video, and I was surprised of what happened to bret, basically before the show started vince told bret to bett michaels with the sharpshooter (this is not on the tape) and bret agreed to it, but then vince told michaels that bret was defecting to wcw, so michaels agreed to carry out the screw job and from there history was made, Bret Hart gets FIRED!

History
Perhaps the most historic event in wrestling history. In this single show, Bret Hart was screwed out of the title (for real), and left the WWF to join WCW. Vince McMahon became the "Evil Boss" persona which lead to the infamous Austin vs. McMahon fued, and boosted wrestling into its greatest ever state of sustained popularity.

Do not buy this tape for the wrestling content, although there are a few good moments.

Buy this tape for the history. The Bret Hart screw job. The shocked look on Shawn Michaels face. The moment Owen Hart broke Steve Austin's neck. So many famous moments in one unbelievable event.

Also includes footage of the Legion of Doom partners Animal and Hawk, which will be of use to LOD fans following the untimely death of Hawk recently, and this is also the event where Kane had his first ever Federation match, against the pain loving Mankind in one hell of a brutal, typically Foley bout.

Also features the team of Vader, Goldust, Marc Mero and newcomer Steve Blackman against the team of British Bulldog (RIP), Jim Neidhart, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon in a short, good but forgettable Survivor Series style match, and another short match featuring The Headbangers and The New Blackjacks against The Godwinns and The New Age Outlaws in a surprisingly disappointing match, featuring the skills of Billy Gunn and Bradshaw.

All in all, forgettable wrestling, unforgettable show. Buy now purely for the ability to say you own it.
