A legendary night in sports entertainment.4
King of the Ring '98... what a night. It has gone down as one of the most memorable WWF Pay Per Views of all time. This is largely due to the double main event, but I'll get to that in a minute.

The first non-tournament match is a six-man tag match with The Headbangers and Taka Michinoku vs Kaientai. This is an entertaining match, a predictable end but entertaining all the same.

Al Snow (with Head), who was then a newcomer to the federation, is up next against the tag team of Too Much, who are now known as Too Cool. Jerry 'The King' Lawler referees in this match, resulting in obvious favouritism (he is the father of Too Much's Brian Christopher, now Grand Master Sexay). I found this match quite boring and the ending is ridiculous, but I can see how it was a valuable outing into the world of PPV for three young talents.

The next two matches are dominated by DX, as Owen Hart faces X-Pac and Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws face NWA's Midnight Express. The tag match in particular is very good, with interference and a rather eye-watering low blow from Chyna.

The King of the Ring tournament itself is average, with Ken Shamrock putting in the best performance. It was interesting to see the Rock back then, trying to be a heel (bad guy) but still being cheered. I thought his interview in the isle after his first round match is cool, Rock through and through. I do have one query about this tournament, why isn't there any crowning ceremony like in the previous King of the Rings? It kind of takes away from the efforts of the winner if it is just like 'another match won, like any other day'.

The first of the main events is legendary to anyone who has ever been slightly interested in wrestling... Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell!!! This match is spectacular, simply for the death-defying stunts the Undertaker puts Mankind through. Off the top, through the roof, a bed of thumbtacks, and he still comes out later in the night! If you do not respect Mick Foley after seeing this then I don't know what is wrong with you. The Undertaker is calm and calculated throughout, what a character!

The second main event puts the Undertaker's brother Kane in the ring with the WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, the winner being the man who can make the other bleed first! Before this Pay Per View, Kane had said that if he did not beat Austin, then he would set himself on fire! This match is brutal, plain and simple. There are some scary moments for the champ involving the cell, and then the competitors from the previous match return, resulting in a bloody mess and... I won't tell you the result.

Overall, this is an outstanding event from the WWF.

The most brutal extravaganza of all time !5
King of the Ring was a momentus occasion and the 'Hell in a Cell' match surpassed anything that I have ever seen in the WWF and any other Federation. There are several good matches on this video like - the finals of the KOTR when Shamrock meets the Rock and X-Pac vs Owen Hart. But If you prefer an all-out brawl to a scientific match then the WWF title match - Austin vs Kane is the one for you. But the match that makes the video is Mankind vs The Undertaker inside 'Hell in a Cell'. This is quite simply the most brutal, most violent and easily the most unbelievable match in wrestling history! What happens to Mankind is truly spectacular and makes you want to keep rewinding the tape to see it again and again. To be honest though the Hell in a cell Match gets the video the full five stars. Without this match then it would only get three stars. But if you are going to get a video and like to see people flying off the top of cells and crashing through announce tables then don't hesitate to buy it. This video will truly take your breath away!

Best WWF video made5
The best video I have seen with a brilliant Hell in a Cell match and a first blood match. It has these matches: The Headbangers+Taka Michinoku v Kaientai,X-Pac v Owen Hart,Al Snow+Head v Too Much with special guest ref Jerry "The King" Lawler

Tag Team Championship: The New Age Outlaws v The Midnight Express

Semi Finals and Finals of the King of the ring

Including:Ken Shamrock,Double J,Dan"The Beast Severn and The Rock

Hell in a Cell

The Undertaker v Mankind

First Blood WWF Chanpionship Match

Stone Cold v Kane

Altogether a brilliant pay per view. Mankind going through a Spanish announce table from the top of the Hell in a Cell cage was amazing.Every WWF fan should have this video. It is FANTASTIC.
