Synopsis
They're pretty and they make good music too! This seems to be the layman's reaction when first setting eyes upon the intra-family pop group that is The Corrs. Three beautiful sisters and a brother make up this Irish sensation whose unique blend of traditional Celtic music and pop music have propelled them into pop stardom. Huge in the U.K. for a couple of years now, the Corrs are poised to become chart toppers in America as well. This acoustic performance was filmed at Ardmore Studio's in Dublin, and serves to demonstrate their talent at writing original and beautiful music.

Customer Reviews

Beautiful, seductive, audio visual art at it's best5
I have the first 3 Corrs DVD's (eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 4th) and this is by far and away my favourite. The "intimate little gathering" as Andrea calls it is just perfect for the audio and visual sensation that this DVD is.

The songs, whilst always fantastic, carry better in an intimate setting which lets the musical brillance shine, and prove how well they can sing. Less well known songs such as "Old Town" and "Queen of Hollywood" are so addictive in this setting whilst the folk tunes such as Loch Erin Shore are so enjoyable.

Jim looks on with admiration at his sensational siblings, Sharon is pure elegance, Caroline pouts seductive, sexy looks whilst Andrea is the epitome of beauty personified.

The panning camera work, and respectful audience (that is not continously shouting and screaming, as at other concerts) add a great dimension to this experience. The MTV unplugged series is a sensation in itself, but for KD Lang and The Corrs they are truly in their element.

There is little by way of extras in this DVD, some arty, but small photo gallery but little else. However, with 72 minutes of excellence there is little room for complaint.

If you were ever unsure as to whether you enjoyed the music of The Corrs, then switch on the widescreen, turning the volume up, the lights down low, open a bottle of wine and enjoy The Corrs Unplugged!!

Pure talent5
The Corrs show their talent again in an outstanding live small audience concert. I can think of no other band who can consistently manage to perform live as well as, if not better than their recorded album versions of the same tracks. As has been said above, "Old Town" and "No Frontiers" are outstanding, and there truly isn't a bad song here. Five stars is not enough...

A must buy DVD this one, Ooh yes!5
This DVD was a gamble, which I must say has paid me back really well!.

The 5.1 mix is stunning, I want more of the same please, Oh, and the really good DVD transfer is pin sharp and vivid colours - and being in widescreen as well.

This dvd is a MUST BUY, Dont sit there, GO BUY IT!
