Amazon.co.uk Review
Banjo-Kazooie mimics the look and feel of Mario 64, a truly innovative and visually stunning game that belongs in any Nintendo 64 collection. But don't brush off this 3-D action-adventure as an uninspired clone. On the contrary, Banjo-Kazooie introduces more than enough originality to warrant a spot next to its famous mentor.
The game introduces two of the most charming virtual heroes in recent years--the goofy, floppy honey bear, Banjo, and his faithful, feathered sidekick Kazooie. In the game's introduction, we discover that the sinister witch Gruntilda not only nabbed Banjo's sister Tooty, but stole her beauty as well. Naturally, it's up to the bear-bird team to retrieve Tooty and rid the world of one inconsiderate witch.
In this beautifully-rendered and massive game world, players run, jump, swim, climb and flip over obstacles, defeat all sorts of "baddies", and find and collect numerous items and clues that help the quest to progress. Playing as both Banjo and Kazooie, players hone their characters' actions, learning nearly two dozen special moves that help players expertly defeat foes and successfully tread through the nine worlds.
Banjo-Kazooie is one of those games that can demand hours upon hours of perseverance, patience and learning of skills to complete. But don't let that discourage you. This epic game is so much fun that reaching the end will be an afterthought. --Eric Twelker, Amazon.com

One of the best games on N64
This game is solid as a rock. It has good graphics, excellent game physics (charater motion and control), funny and fairly imaginative story, brilliant characters, enjoyable and well made levels and tons more!
This is honestly one of the best games on the Nintendo 64 and no one should be without it. I still look back on it with very fond memories. The levels are really enjoyable and will have you coming back for more time and time again. My favourite level is Freeze-easy peak because of the wonderful Christmas feel to it!
Just buy it, you really can't go wrong here. A really solid, must-have game!
Banjo Kazooie on N64
What a totally excellent game!!! I have totally loved playing this game from "Mumbo's Mountain" all the way to Winter in "Click Clock Wood"! If only Nintendo/Rare would bring out another Banjo game, this time on GameCube. The nine levels are totally BRILLIANT... finding the 10 jiggis and the 5 jinjos on each... excellent gameplay.
Mario 64 rival!
The N64 needed no more platformers. Mario 64 sat on top of the pile, with nobody to challenge its greatness - until this came out. It had good graphics and superb storyline, the controls always felt perfect and to round it off it had more puzzles than Mario 64. In platformers I love puzzles and was extremely happy to find this had them in abundance. It really is a cracking game, and nowadays if you route out your old N64 you can get this game for pennies. If you love Mario 64 you WILL love this.
