Great game
This game is a great managering game!Its very difficult to get these days but if yoy can get it buy it!!You can be any team in the three english divisions and buy any player!Players in an above division will not come down a division though no matter how much you offer them!But you can do up your stadium and hire a youth scout too find young players.Some of these players becopme the best in the game!The young players never stop,your scout just keeps finding more!Buy it!

a bit old now
When i first played this game it was great with some annoying features but overall very good but as is the problem with all management games it gets out of date as now things are a lot different than in 1997 as you would expect. overall it is a great game that you really have to try hard to stop playing as it is a tad adictive.

I can honestly say that I still play this game. I am , in fact, going to play it after writing this review.

Yes it's dated. Yes it's not too difficult. But it's back to basics and doesn't overload you with complex tactics and overly in-depth player interaction.

It's very much 'pick-up-and-play' and keep you entertained for ages. Although best played with a friend (me and my friend have been playing it since '97 when we were 9!) single player is still great fun. The graphics aren't bad either; even the highlights are quite impressive for its age.

You can play by closely monitoring your team and club, or in contrast, you can play an entire season in about 20 minutes; the choice is yours.
