Remember Daley Thompson's Decathalon on the ZX Spectrum - this is with the graphical power of the N64 - exceptional. The attention to detail has to be played to believe.

The concept of a lot of button pressing is soon dispelled as the variety of events require different skills from the joypad. Breaking world records is great, especially if you've just snatched victory from one of your mates.

As you win gold in more and more events, secrets are unlocked. By writing in Syndey, for example, gives an athlete looking like terminator, a very nice touch indeed.

The only drawback IS THE WEIGHTLIFTING,it is so hard to even lift the first weight, so lots of points are dropped, frantic timing of the buttons is required, not speed!

Events include: 100m, Javelin, Pole Vault, Hammer, Long Jump, High Jump, Vault, Horizontal Bar, 110m Hurdles, Trap Shooting.....

To sum up brilliant game, especially in 4 player mode, a little time is needed to master each event, great fun.

If I was asked to recommend an N64 to start of a collection, it would have to be this, it's supremity is it's selling point, laving you feeling like you've ran the dectalthalon after just 10 minutes of playing.

It features Cycling, Swimming, and ALL the track events including womens weightlifting, the first Olympic Sim to do so!

This is a must have, and the cheapest around at just £34.99 don't leav the site till you bought this game
