'The Album That Defines The Stylistics Sound'
Without question, 'Rockin' Roll Baby' is the best album that the Stylistics have ever made. Featuring the songwritting talents of Thom Bell and the very sadly missed and tragic Linda Creed, the album is chock full of classy soul out of the very top draw. Hit singles 'You Make Me Feel Brand New' and the title track I'm sure you will know but opener 'Only For The Children' and 'Let Them Work It Out' are sublime bitter-sweet songs about marital problems. Also superb is 'Love Comes Easy' a delicious mid tempo song while 'Could This Be The End' features some great vocals and simply aches with passion. Produced by Thom Bell, this album is REAL soul and far superior to any of the more 'sickly sweet' albums the band would later produce for H&L records.
