Editorial Reviews
CD Description
Though they're not as well remembered as some of their contemporaries, British cult faves the Edgar Broughton Band played a key role in the late-1960s/early-'70s U.K. rock underground. As this compilation makes clear, they combined the unhinged freakiness of Arthur Brown with early-Pink Floyd space-cadet tendencies and raw, Stooges-like proto-punk for an arresting, idiosyncratic sound. Much of the angular, blues-inflected material here would sound at home on an early CaptainBeefheart album, but there are also numerous low-key folk-rock moments providing crucial contrast. The roots of everything from the Birthday Party to the Swell Maps can be found here.

No Vibrations....BUT WAIT!!!
At last a great compilation from a very talented but highly undervalued band, 'OUT DEMONS OUT' is a treasuretrove of singles, B sides and album tracks, from 1969-1972.
If you like anything by this band this is a must. heavy rock, folk, psychadelia and zany humour all reside, great stuff..
No room for compromise............
A spirited compilation of the Broughtons music spanning the material recorded for the seminal EMI Harvest label. This collection covers album material and some singles: a&b sides.EBB singles were n't your usual cup of tea so they go well with the rest of the collection. The singles were released on a Harvest LP on a long since deleted title:A Bunch Of 45s - which had a great cover!
You get the full range of EBB material here:powerful, heavy and rocking, plus some thoughtful and more refined songs....but always making you think.
Never a group to stand still musically, there is a real progression in the songs as they moved forward in those Harvest years.Check out the albums that these songs came from aswell, you won't be disapointed. And check out their website to still catch them live! Some things just get better with age!!!
not for me
unfortunatly i purchased the above c,d without looking what was on it, i think its rubbish and you are better off getting the meat album, a timeless classic.
