Anyone who was musically in tune during the eighties might be very disppointed with the current "sounds". Phil was a more upbeat version of "Chic", less complicated sure but the familiar guitar rift and synth. sounds. Try listening to "I can Prove it" without moving your body. 'everybodys laughing" is having a go at Phil with his lost-love memories....we can't laugh...we can only just enjoy!...others are so joyful to listen to - 'Dancing tight", 'Aint nothing but a house party", "What do I do"...not forgetting the few serious moments "All I give to you" and the ballets "Before you throw your love away" and 'Still thinking of you"...
There are 18 tracks in all - great value.
How can we endorse the present music when we have such a rich legacy?

i bought this album for one track only, then found there were more real gems on it." i can prove it " " do u want more " " still thinking of you ", i cant stop playing.
There r also some high standard slow one's such as " before you throw your love away "
A special mention shud go to Dee Galdes on the track i bought it for " this kind of love " she has a haunting voice.
A brilliant,modern soul album.
