Customer Reviews
The very best indeed!
This CD has a gret mix of Sarah Brightman's songs from various albums, it shows her voice at different styles. It also has a un-realeased track called The Last words you said. The albums these songs are taken from are: Fly, Timeless, Eden, Dive and La Luna. If you're not sure which album to get, buy this! I wasn't sure which one to get for my daughter so I got this, now she knows which one she wants! The best and most wonderful tracks are on this e.g Just show me how to love you and Time to say Goodbye. A great choice for the unsure and Sarah Brightman fans!
The Best Of Sarah Brightman
This CD was the first CD I ever bought of Sarah's. No wonder I continued buying more of her albums after! This CD is just beautiful. I wasn't sure about it at first, because I'm not an Opera fan, but she makes me appreciate it. I like all the songs on this album but the weakest is probably 'La Mer'.
Her voice ranges from opera to pop, both categories she sounds beautiful. Best songs on here have to be 'Time to say goodbye (Con Te Partiro)', 'Tu Quieres Volver', 'Deliver Me', 'Only an Ocean Away' and 'Heaven Is Here'. Covers such as 'First Of May', 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' and 'Who Wants To Live Forever' are of very high quality, she makes the songs her own. Whether it was the Bee Gee's or Queen!
I highly recommend this album to any beginner Sarah fans, she'll reel you in.
A true delight
I came to this CD via my enjoyment of Katherine Jenkins and the reading of a very negative review of her new album that compared her to Sarah. Of course I knew Sarah from her ALW stuff but not her more mainstream performances. To begin, it is crass in the extreme to compare the two singers. Both beautiful women. One soprano, one mezzo. One experienced in all sorts of music, one not so but learning fast. But, surely, anybody can hear (and see!) that both are a delight.
I was mesmerised by this CD. Not overly fond of 'modern' music I was fully captured by the variation on this disc. No opera at all but still superb (well for me anyway who loves opera).
The arrangements are, for the most part, sumptuous and atmospheric and the singing is, well, superb!
This is my first Sarah Brightman CD. It goes with her La Luna concert DVD (an Xmas gift) and will not be the last.
Recommended.
