One Love trawls through Marley's most revered studio albums to bring together 20 of his most famous--if not his best--songs. As we all know by now, Marley is a legendary figure whose music stands eternal and most of the records featured here are already grafted permanently on to our sonic subconscious. A simple nanosecond intro of any of the songs featured here--"Stir It Up", "Exodus", "One Love/People Get Ready", "Lively Up Yourself", "Jamming"--is all that's required to provoke goosepimples, and an overwhelming desire to start building camp-fires and crooning. Although it could be asked whether such overly familiar songs really need to be aired again, once you begin listening to the album such doubts fade quickly. Marley's erudite and incisive lyricism and penchant for writing timeless, catchy and heart-warming songs was startling and it's no bad thing to be reminded of this. Though some of his political sentiments may seem anachronistic and irrelevant today, his spiritual messages and humane optimism still stir the heart and soul. --Paul Sullivan

The ablum has all the great songs that you could ask for. If you have been searching, like I have for a Bob Marley CD that has all the songs that everybody knows as well as other classics that mainly Bob Marley fans will know, then buy this CD. It's some of the best reggae every to come off of the island of Jamacia. The album gets you in the mood for the hot summer when you are driving along with the window down and the music playing loud. You will enjoy this CD, it's great.
Jamming!
Being a big fan of reggae and ska I knew I had to buy this album. It is fantastic! From the great "Stir It Up" to the new (and previously unreleased) single "I Know A Place" this album delivers. It the perfect summer soundtrack with it's laid back reggae grooves. Buy it!
