Amazon.co.uk Review
By their fifth album, most bands have grown up, but not American brat-punks Blink 182. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket is more of the same three-minute bursts of immaturity and deliberate stupidity that made their previous album, Enema of the State, an international hit. It's just that now the band too often cross the line from adolescent angst to annoying whingeing. The album opener "Anthem Part Two" is an us-versus-them call to arms against the "adults" of the world--"Kids are victims in this story/Drown the youth with useless warnings"--which seems to overlook the fact that by now, Blink 182 are probably closer in age to their A&R man than their average fan; "Happy Holidays You Bastard" and "F**k A Dog" resort to cheap mom-and-dad jokes and obvious shock tactics. Even the more sentimental moments are ruined by clumsy and overly simplistic lyrics ("Stay Together for the Kids", a tale about divorce from the child's perspective, whines, "I see them every day/We get along so why can't they?"). It's not all bad news, though: first single "Rock Show", "Reckless Abandon" and "Give Me One Good Reason" are as catchy as anything they've ever done, while "Story of a Lonely Guy" and "Roller Coaster" hint at what this trio are capable of as songwriters when they put their minds to it. --Robert Burrow

The best blink 182 album ever!!!5
I've been a blink fan since the early years but I have to say it doesn't get any better than Take Off Your Pants & Jacket. It combines the energy of earlier albums (eg Dude Ranch & Enema) with a bit of the maturity that was obvious in their last album. It also features my 2 favourite songs of all time. Story Of A Lonely Guy speaks on so many levels to anyone who has ever been in love with a girl and every kid of divorce should listen to Stay Together For The Kids. I waited through the night outside to be the first with my hands on it & it was worth every second! They really achieved punk/pop/rock perfection with this one!

I nearly wet myself5
I have evry blink album, and ive read about 20 reviews and they're all wrong- trust me. This album is easily on a whole blinks best yet. some songs like 2stay togethjer foer the kids" do remind you a bit of other songs like "adams song" and the album does get worse towards the end- but the overall quality of the songs beats any other album. Story of a lonely guy is an example of true genius, and toms acoustic "what went wrong" is full of teen angst that only blink can truly muster. First date is just a true punk classic and "rock show" is another tune which kicks out. Many have said blink arent punk any more after enema, but they soooo are, its just evolved from the total raw sound of cheshire cat into a far more musically accomplisghed sound, still punk, but with more talent. This album kicks ass, you may want songs like !"dammit" and "josie" to help lift it towards the end but it is worth every penny. The songs are not all as good as the best of blink, but all the songs are up there. top stuff

One of the best punk rock cds ever!5
This cd is the latest in the blink series. In this cd the blink boys prove to us that they have matured both musically and psychologicaly, as they concentrate on some very important issues (divorce - Stay together for the kids). The cd contains 13 songs (Anthem part 2, Online songs, First date, Happy holidays you bastard, Story of a lonely guy, Rock show, Stay together for the kids, Roller coaster, Reckless abandon, Everytime I look for you, Give me one good reason, Shut up, Please take me home). Don't lose this one, it will eventually become an all-time punk rock classic!
