Amazon.co.uk Review
It's a teenage fantasy: after enduring countless auditions, five young guys from across the USA are chosen to be members of a boy group. They will call Orlando home. They will live together in a house while they prepare their debut album. They will work with legendary record executive Clive Davis. They will be the first signing to his new label. They will be filmed every step of the way. If all goes according to formula, they will also be teen heartthrobs with a few hit songs on the radio. So goes the story of O-Town, the group created for and by the US television show Making the Band. Taking a step past saccharine pop, O-Town venture into Michael Jackson-inspired R&B ("Girl"), piano-driven balladry ("All or Nothing", which sounds a bit like Bryan Adams), and even straight-up rock ("Love Should Be a Crime" could be sung just as easily by Jon Bon Jovi, but wouldn't sound as good). They also make endless pop culture references, especially in their single, "Liquid Dreams": "I dream about a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child, just a little touch of Madonna's wild style, with Janet Jackson's smile/Throw in a body like a Jennifer, you've got the star of my liquid dreams." The words aren't the only playful elements here--watching them compete against boy band stalwarts Backstreet Boys and 'NSync should be just as fun. Even with such tough competition, though, O-Town deserve a chance. With their hit show in its second season, and songs as good as "Liquid Dreams" and "The Painter", they'll get one. --Heidi Sherman

Crap
I thought this album was a load of crap what a waste of money. I bought it for my son Gerald and he threw out the window the next day the dustmen wouldnt even take it they said it wasnt even worth puttin int he bin. I hate O-town i hope they never release another album while im alive.
O-Towns no.1 fan
When i bought this album id only ever heard liquid dreams before but i thought id give the album a try.At first i found the album hard to get into but afterwhile i begun to appreciate their music.I found 'Liquid Dreams' brought a new refreshing sound to pop music.'Love should be a crime'had an excellent rock side to it making it my faviroute track and Jacobs 'Take me under'added real smoothness and soul to this already brilliant album. These guys are no average boyband and with there mixture of styles and sounds makes this album a must buy for every music lover.I recomend this album to anyone that wants to listen to artistic music by real talent. If this album doesnt convince you then music's not for you.
Fresh and better face to the 'boy band' scene.
I was apprehensive about buying this album as i thought another boy band!, who needs them. After watching their tv series and listening more to their music, i realsied that they are so different. Their music has a more soulful beat or a good rock beat. It easily beats most of the tunes your used to hearing and they can play their own instuments. What a change. I would advise all to buy this album and keep listening to the boys!
