Average customer review:Product Description
After a lengthy gap of nearly five years, Jackson had to pull something out of the bag. BAD was, after all, a difficultact to follow, and the press were trying to prove he was bonkers. This was a pretty decent attempt and fell in with thehard dance beat of the early 90s. "Heal The World" was muchlike the old melodic Jackson, and it became a major hit. "Black Or White" was the best of the rest, a well-constructed song in which he attempted to repeat "Ebony And Ivory" in the context of 90s dance music.

Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
Michael Jackson was still going for pop hits with 1991's Dangerous, but he also front-loaded the album with six straight Teddy Riley-assisted cuts. This half-hour swoop of tense, aggressive, often angular funk was Jackson's most interesting music since Thriller, and still sounds, well, invincible on this remastered edition. After that, the record's uneven, but there's nothing embarrassing about it, either. "Gone Too Soon", a non-Jackson composition about teen AIDS casualty Ryan White, is a quiet statement (particularly played next to the choir-laden "Heal the World", "Keep the Faith", and "Will You Be There") showing that the star doesn't always have to get showy. The sprightly "Black or White" is explicitly pro-interracial romance, an angle its video didn't go near, and the urgent "Give In to Me" is almost scary. Scary good, that is. --Rickey Wright
Customer Reviews
It's not all just about Thriller...
When you think about Michael Jacksons music, you are most likely to think Thriller, Bad....
Dangerous, released in 1991, is perhaps one of Jacksons most under-rated pieces of work. The music reeks of quality.
Whilst Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad can have a dated feel to them, Dangerous still sounds fresh, funky and straight out the '90s.
Highlights from the album include 'Will you be there?' A track laden with heaps of genuine emotion. You will love this song. Guaranteed.
'Who is it?' has a great beat and feel to it, sandwiched between the funky anti-racist statement track 'Black or White?' and 'Give in to me', which is awesomely intense.
I could go on and on praising songs from Dangerous because in all honesty they are all brilliant. Every one is single worthy, whether its the heavy bass of 'Jam' or the soul healing ballad 'Heal the world'.
Michael set himself the task of creating an album that will live and live when he embarked on Dangerous, and I do believe he succeeded there.
Even the album artwork is incredible. You have to look at it yourself to appreciate it.
If you don't own this album already; buy it now. You won't regret it.
New Jack Swing at it's finest.

OVERALL GRADE: 9/10
This album, led to a chain of 3 years, 3 CDs which marked a change in artists.
1991=Michael Jackson "Dangerous"
1992=Madonna "Erotica"
1993=Janet Jackson "janet."
Though this album not as strong as "Off the Wall", "Thriller", "Bad", "Erotica" nor "janet.", is still the best New Jack Swing album though.
Good start for the 90's
Michael Jackson was in 1991 the biggest star in the planet. Dangerous was the album he needed to demonstrate that. It continues the path left by "Bad", but it goes a step further. It includes some raps (Jam, Black or white...) it sounds incredible, very original and strange effects, and it made Michael Jackson, an artist that had been in the industry over 20 years already, stay with the times.
Jam, Remember the time, Who is it?, Give in to me, are amongst the best songs of the album.
I highly recommend this album, although after selling 26 million copies, I don't know if anyone has not bought yet...
