Amazon.co.uk Review
The Corrs--Live in London lacks the atmosphere of their 1999 homecoming Dublin gig, Live at Lansdowne Road. The London stadium location creates a sterile atmosphere and adds an uncomfortable, claustrophobic edge to their performance. That aside, the concert once again affirms their position as one of the best live acts around and resolutely challenges the assumption that studio recordings are always better than the live versions. Perhaps this is why it was decided to release another Corrs live show rather than a greatest hits video collection to coincide with the launch of their Best of audio anthology. Hearing and viewing their stunning performance of tracks such as "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" and "Dreams", it's easy to understand why the band still has such universal appeal.

On the DVD: the group's exquisite rendition of "Happy Christmas (War is Over)", included as a bonus track, is one of the numerous added features. Choose from three different audio formats to listen to the concert and view the show in wide screen or standard picture format. The concert cinematography is excellent, with crystal-clear picture quality. The live performances of "Dreams", "Radio" and "Breathless" can also be viewed from five different camera angles. However the 360-degree camera angle version of "So Young" (available only to those accessing the disk on a DVD-ROM drive) fails to live up to expectation: the viewing window is tiny, and the picture quality particularly poor. The 20-minute "Access All Areas" documentary (made by and originally shown on Sky One) is excellently produced and provides an added, more personable dimension to the DVD.--John Galilee

"Live" treat5
That I would enjoy this latest offering from the group with probably more DVD concert releases than any other was never in doubt. The most interesting thing for me was to see how a show I originally saw really live on TV would be translated to video.

This was originally "The Corrs at Christmas", but to give it all year round appeal all mentions of Christmas have been removed. Fortunately "Merry Xmas (War is Over)" has been preserved as a extra feature.

Special effects such as split screen and monochrome sequences probably rate as an enhancement. Some of these probably replace original views from the back of the auditorium, so you get more close-ups. Three tracks feature multiple angles with cameras on each of the girls. This was listed as a feature of the original broadcast for Interactive viewers so perhaps could have been available on more tracks, but it's interesting rather than essential.

I thought it sad that to make a more perfect show they felt it neccessary to edit out mistakes like the delay when Andrea forgot she was supposed to be introducing the band. It demonstrates how much supposedly live performances are cleaned up for video release. Perhaps a future special release could include the original broadcast as well to demonstrate the process.

Excellent5
Having seen an earlier concert in the tour, I knew this would be a great DVD. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The picture quality and sounds is excellent, especially the DTS soundtrack. Having the multi-camera angles is great too. The advantage of being just able to watch Andrea (rather than Jim!) for a number of the tracks is obvious! Buy it!

A beautiful concert4
The DVD Live in London is a example of a great live performance of The Corrs. The sound is perfect and the bonus features, like the docummentary "Access to all areas" are very interesting. I recommend this DvD for anyone who love this band.
