Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
After three top five singles, two of which went straight in at number one, four-piece Blue release their debut album All Rise. Having heard "Too Close", "If You Come Back" and the fabulous "All Rise", the rest of the album doesn't offer many surprises. The catchy formula of poppy melody, smooth harmony and simplified r&b repeats throughout the 12 tracks, so if you liked the singles, you'll love the album. On the odd occasion the formula does stray slightly off the beaten track as with "Bounce", a fiery piece of bubble-funk with shades of Britney Spears, or the token rocker "Back to You" which would have benefited from a backdated collaboration with Bryan Adams. In summary, All Rise is a brilliant debut, providing Blue are your cup of tea but if not, then you may find it all a bit lacklustre and flat. --Georgina Collins

A brilliant debut5
This is a fantastically mature debut album from young chart toppers Blue. It has an r'n'b/soul/pop feel which is very listenable and catchy. There are a few "Westlife-y" tracks, such as Long Time, Girl I'll Never Understand, and Best in Me, but also some real upbeat ones like Back to You. My personal favourite (apart from All Rise!) is Make it Happen - I'm constantly humming it to myself. I don't know how they manage to sing Too Close without their ears burning, but the other songs aren't quite so sexy! There's a lot of lyrics which could be taken two ways, and the lyrics are generally quite deep but not difficult to remember. Simon's rapping is excellent - I love the offbeat groove on Fly By. All in all, it's an excellent album, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's liked any of the singles because there's some of everything on here.

Perfect pop!5
The first album from British boy band blue. This is a soul full mixture of pop and R 'n' B and suits many different peoples taste of music. Whereas many albums have songs which should be skipped Blues "all rise" album is entertaining and pleasent to listen to. This album proves that this band are not just a one hit wonder but have the talent to carry this on for a long time. They have created thier own sound proven by this album. With something for everyone, this album is perfect for all ages. Blue truely know what the people want and give it to the public through the album. This is a must for averyone!!!

Great Stuff.5
If you too are mourning the loss of cheesy boy band antics with a slight R 'n B sound that Another Level did so well, this album is for you. It's funky, fairly original and I can't think of a bad song on it. Unlike so many pop albums, the three singles on the album are not the only good points, I'm particularly fond of 'Make it Happen', a great cd to have blaring whilst preparing for a friday night out on the tiles.
Fantastic poppy stuff, I love it.
