I have always loved Mel and Kim from been a small child, so to still be a fan now means this CD must be good becuase I have the attention span of a gold fish

Nice 80s retrospective from the Appleby sisters
This CD features every song officially released by the 80s dance sister duo Mel & Kim (except for the Mel & Kim Megamix released on single in early 1990). Different from the other best of album released by the sisters, this cd also features some of Kim Appleby's solo chart hits. Unfortunately it overlooks her lower charting singles, "If You Cared" (No. 44, 1991), "Light Of The World" (No. 41, 1993), "Breakaway" (No. 56, 1993) and "Free Spirit" (No. 51, 1994) and instead fills up the album with unnecessary remixes of "Respectable", "F.L.M." and "Don't Worry". Still a great buy if you loved the dance music a la Stock/Aitken/Waterman from the late 80s.

Any lover of 80's music will remember the fantastic Appleby sisters that stormed the charts with the chart toppers 'Showing Out (get fresh At The Weekend)','Respectable','F.L.M' and 'Thats the way it is' (the title of this album) it's about time that EMI released a new greatest hits album for the girls! This cd contains the four singles plus the fantastic 'Don't Worry','G.L.A.D' and 'Mama' which released by Kim as solo singles after Mel's death in 1990.This cd is a MUST buy and a true gem to any fan of Mel and Kim,it's about time EMI released a greatest hits album of Kim's solo work as she had a second album 'Breakaway' that was never released here in the U.K but WAS released it Europe,this cd containd fantastic tracks such as 'Strong Love','Light of the world','I'm not your property' and 'Loving you boy' so come on EMI release a Kim album - perhaps with the kim House stormer 'Free Spirit' on it! anyhow,if you Love Mel and Kim you'll LOVE this cd!
