Amazon.co.uk Review
A legend of British rock over the past three decades, everyone's favourite pseudo Scotsman, Rod Stewart has had more than enough top-drawer hits to fill this double album, The Story So Far. There is no chronological order, which is probably a good thing as his golden period in the 1970s would undoubtedly cast a shadow over his subsequent work, which although good is no match for "Maggie May", "You Wear it Well" or the swaggering blues rocker "Hot Legs". The album is split into two distinct sections, "A Night Out" which as you may guess is the up-tempo numbers like "This Old Heart" and "Ooh La La" whereas "A Night In" shows the more tender side of balladeer Rod beginning with the "love it or hate it" anthem "Sailing" and then onto classics like "I Don't Want To Talk About It", "The Killing of Georgie" and "Have I Told You Lately". Rod Stewart has been the subject of many compilations before The Story So Far but with many of them being either single discs with glaring omissions or box sets with just a few too many album fillers, this is the most definitive yet succinct greatest hits yet. --David Trueman

The ultimate collection!
I love all the songs on this superb double album, you couldn't ask for a better Rod Stewart compilation!
Turn it up and listen to Rod's amazing voice and believe me when I tell you that this really is THE very best of Stewart with so many great hits digially remastered to perfection.
Highly recommened!
great stuff
I only bought this as i just love the track = rhythm of my heart. But now i just love the whole album.
Absolutely Brilliant
I am not a life long Rod Stewart fan, this is the first of his music I have ever bought. I bought this CD having listened to it many times in work due to a colleague having the album. I never particularly liked or disliked Rod's work but in one blow this album has converted me. Like I said I have never bought any of Rod's work before so I cant say this or that should or shouldnt have been included, I can tell you though that this is pure gold.
From the enormously stirring ALL FOR LOVE with Rod, Bryan Adams and Sting to the ever popular YOUNG TURKS there is nothing but greatness on here. The only song on here that I dont like is waltzing matilda which never fails to send the wrong sort of shiver down my back. Trust me people especially from someone who usually enjoys heavier rock such as Motley Crue I think it is beyond being human to dislike this album.
