All the essentials5
Gary Puckett and the Union Gap made upbeat music typical of the late sixties. Young girl and Lady Willpower were huge transatlantic hits in 1968, Young girl topping the UK charts. Woman woman, Over you and This girl is a woman now were other notable American hits. All five of those wonderful songs can be found here. Among the other songs here are excellent covers of By the time I get to Phoenix (Glen Campbell) and I just don't know what to do with myself (Dusty Springfield).

Although I think that the Golden Classic edition (which I've already reviewed) is worth the extra cost, Gary and his band had very few hits and you can get all the essentials on this budget collection.

Although I was a teenager in the sixties, I have never bought a Gary Puckett album before. I was impressed .. these ten tracks are timeless, superbly sung and get everyone singing along. The true definition of easy listening. Especially loved the track ' I just don't know what to do with myself'. Even in 2009, the late sixties never sounded so good. You will enjoy this.
