Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
At best, most remix albums are irrelevant; at worst, they're just plain awful. It's fortunate, then, that most of the tracks on Limp Bizkit's first remix album New Old Songs are neither. But, with such high profile remixers drawn mostly from the hip-hop world, there's not much scope for error. Timbaland adds a dark industrial edge to "Take a Look Around", P Diddy amps up the bassline on "My Way", while Butch Vig's version of "Nookie" has a decidedly 1980s electronic flavour. Best of all, though, is the Neptunes' take on "N 2gether Now", all flowered-up hip-hop in an old-school style that's probably the cheeriest thing Fred Durst's ever been involved with. In fact, the only people who don't seem to have a handle on the remixing task are those in the band: DJ Lethal's efforts--with the exception of an energetic "Counterfeit"--are irrelevant, while Fred Durst's "Faith/Fame Remix" is just plain awful. Maybe they should stick to churning out the raw material that's sold millions of albums, and leave the remixing to the professionals. --Ted Kord

Customer Reviews
One of the worst albums ever released.
Seriously, there is no point to this album. I had the misfortune of buying this crap because I was always loyal to the Bizkit. I think this finally opened my eyes and made me realise that I needed to grow up and stop affiliating myself with certain bands (particularly ones that swear), to the extent that I would then refuse to acknowledge anything bad that the band had released. So that's one good thing that came out of this album, along with the feeling of gratification when I placed this album between two CD storage boxes and dropped a brick on it. Fantastic pastime. Other than that, though, a complete waste of money. Don't you dare buy it.
Terrible
Limp Bizkit have now gone from Bad to Worse, not only has guitarist Wes Borland quit the band, they now have launched this sad excuse for a fourth album, which can only been seen as a money making opportunity. Songs like "Nookie" "My Way" and "Take a Look A Look Around" have just been made into some kind of dance hall beat tune, that i dont know who the world would want to buy. Limp Bizkit are supposedly a metal band...This sad excuse for album just goes to show how much Durst values his real fans. This isnt wanted. If you like Limp Bizkit you'll hate this. If you hate them already then this will just fuel your need for anger management even more. Sort it out LB get back in the studio and go back to the "Three Dollar Y' All" days. This sucks!
Stupid remix album
This album is horrible.Even if you like Limp Bizkit and are 'down with the Bizkit' you will be dissapointed with this horrible remix album.Theres six remixes of 'My way' and that was a stupid idea to put that many remixes of one song on this cd.The original songs all sounded better, too. So don't buy this album unless you like wasting money and if you like wasting money then this is a real must own!
