Average customer review:Product Description
This giant mat with sensors replaces the joypad; it's best used with dancing games such as Dancing Stage Euromix and Britney's Dance Beat, the aim being to mimic steps on the screen by moving your feet in time with the beat. It's compatible with both PSone and PlayStation 2; all you need to do is unpack it, plug it in and get dancing...

Customer Reviews
Poor quality and STINKS
Now I know dance mats will become unresponsive after time, but after 2 gos? I got it out this morning and had 2 dances. I left it out whilst I went out and came back to a house that stunk of the dance mat. It really does reek.
I played on it again and the buttons were already starting to go - it didn't matter if I used the ball, heel or all of my foot, or on the carpet or hard floor.
To give you an idea of how unresponsive it has become in the space of 12 hours, I went from being able to score 100k on Dance Fest to 20k. I certainly hope the replacement isn't as bad!
Dance Mat
I recieved the dance mat as a christmas present and have not been able to use it properly as I don't have any games to go with it! I am after a game called 'Street Dance' to go with it as even though it is meant for an eight point pad, you can also use four! The dance mat looks very good quality and it is so easy to set up. All you have to do is take it out of the box and put it in the slot! I have tried playing on it through other games though you need a controller for them as the are not made for a dance mat! I am sure this is EXTREMELY good quality and will work very well with whatever games I end up getting!
Excellent--but disposable
Generally speaking, I highly recommend dancing games for the PS2--they're great ways to get fun exercise, they make excellent party games, and they hone your sense of rhythm. The question is, which game should you get, and which dance pad?
Since this pad doesn't come with a game, I'm going to ignore the software question, and focus on the hardware.
I bought a Logic 3 Dance mat for my PS3 in January 2006. It's lasted pretty well, but it's slowly gotten a little more ragged around the edges. Now--after a little less than two years of being used twice a week--it seems to be on its last legs; I have to step on the arrow buttons just right to get them to register.
Two years of use isn't bad for an item whose function is to get stepped on repeatedly and energetically. Having read a variety of reviews, it seems that the Logic 3 Dance Mat is actually one of the more resilient options for a dance pad.
So I would certainly recommend the Logic 3 Dance Mat--you just need to realize that you will need to replace it occasionally. If you want a model you don't have to replace, you'll need to spend considerably more money and get a hard metal dance pad. (I'm not sure if Amazon sells them, but you can get them from many retailers.)
One last tip: it's tempting to store your dance mat by folding it up--but that will make it go bad MUCH quicker. If at all possible, store it flat. (It's thin enough that it slides easily under an average sofa.)
