J to tha l-o! The remixes
My first impressions after listening to this album were it could've been alot better. I think J lo trys too hard on some of the tracks to give this remix CD a more hip hop feel, with cringeworthy results. It seems this is just another way for Jenny to rake in cash from the fans, along with her, perfume, jewellery, clothing lines etc...
However if you are going to buy this album I recommend the tracks, ain't it funny (murder remix featuring Ja Rule & Caddillac Tah), walking on sunshine (metro remix), feelin' so good (bad boy remix) and waiting for tonight (Hex's momentous radio mix).
Best J-Lo there is.
I don't actually like J-Lo but this album is wicked. It has guest appearences from Ja Rule, Fat Joe, P.Diddy and G.Dep. The producers have just taken the tracks and made the more hip-hop. It works very nicely.
My favourite tracks are 'Love don't cost a thing', I'm Real', 'Play' and 'Feelin' so good'.
Ive never heard any of her other music but i guess nothing shes made is as hip-hop or as good as this.
Highly Recomended.
Don't be put off by the whole remix thing!
When this was released it was fairly obvious it was a bit of a filler album so JLo could keep a bit of cash rolling in. Upon borrowing it from a friend, I was disappointed by this CD. I really liked the remix of "Ain't It Funny" but I soon returned the album.
However I recently rediscovered this CD and I have to say it is better than I originally gave it credit for. Although No me ames is duplicated from On the 6, J Lo has come up trumps with this CD. Some songs have a new perspective (I'm Real, I'm Gonna Be Alright) while others have had some rapping added, which makes them different, if only slightly.
If you want the original songs J Lo released then this album isn't for you, but if you have all the other albums then this is a must buy!
